It was another great day to ride the Dakota Five-0 Race/Ride/Tour yesterday and I'm happy to report a 3 peat in the win department!
I decided to ride hard from the gun alone this year and was able to hold a gap the entire race. The first 2 hours contain a serious amount of sustained climbing in this course direction and the past month I've devoted some extra time to the handling skills so I could hold the gap on the descent side of the course. It all worked out yesterday and I even set a new course record for the counter clockwise direction!
Huge thanks to the crew of Kelly Magelky for a couple bottles on course!
Equipment was flawless this year. I rode my
Neff Cycle Service Rocky Mountain Bicycles Element bike with SRAM MTBEagle & 38t ring rolling custom built Nox Composites Skyline wheels.
